Migrary Status:  Betweeen October and April.

Size:  18 cm

Weight:  45 grams

Elevation:  up to 2,200 meters above sea level.

 

During winter, frequents clear groves, open areas, forest edeges, lone trees in the open, gardens and farms.  Found in flocks of three to seven individuals, rarely up to 20 individuals.

Generally stays in the high trees but sometimes on ground level, avoiding the interior of dense forests.  Feeds on berries, fruits of palm, seeds, insects and nectar.

In this area, sometimes found in corn fields.

Whenever possible use a pressure cooker, a slow electric cooker and electric coffee makers; these devices help to diminsh energy consumption.

Do not put hot or warm dishes into your refrigerator; in addition your refrigerator should be at least 5 cm from walls and never place a refigerator near a heat source such as an oven or stove.

Always try to purchase energy efficient appliances which are environmentally friendly.
