Can be found in Cacao plantations and older secondary forests.

Feeds on the nectar of flowers, can perforate flowers at their base, despite their size or composition.

Compliments it's diet with some spiders and other insects which it can trap in flight.

Non territorial but agile and aggressive against attacks.
