The Hotel de Montaña el Pelicano is a place where you sense the pureness of nature, where the constant singing of birds and the sounds of Chirripo Pacifico River will be your daily company.  Our enviable location in San Gerardo de Rivas has impressive views of the Talamanca Range where the most noteworthy peaks, Mount Uran (3660 meters) and Mount Ventisqueros (3812 meters) are the prelude to a pleasant stay.

We have implemented controls for sustainability at the Hotel de Montaña El Pelicano not because it is fashionable, but rather, resulting from the commitment with the environment that should be important to all of us, without regard to social condition or place of residence. In February of 2010, this philosophy helped enable us to be awarded the Certificate of Sustainable Tourism (CST) given by the Costa Rican Institute of Tourism (ICT).  This places the Hotel de Montaña el Pelicano at the forefront of the industry in the region of Pérez Zeledón, being the first business to receive this recognition.
